The day before or the day of initial training for section editors, you will want to unhide the section so that it displays in the channel navigation, opt to show the last modified date, and assign the section editor.

4.3 Unhiding the Section and Assigning the Section Editor

00:00:01 1. Navigate to the Faculty/Staff channel of your website.

00:00:05 2. Navigate to the section to be assigned and click the Options button.

00:00:09 3. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the checkbox beside Hide Section in Channel Navigation. Click to check the box beside Display Last Modified Date.

00:00:16 4. Click Save.

00:00:21 5. Click the section name to open it.

00:00:25 6. Click the Editors & Viewers tab.

00:00:27 7. With the Section Editors tab active, click Assign Users. In the search box, type a last name or user name and click Search. Note: You will not find a user if you type their last and first name or their whole email address.

00:00:33 8. Click Select next to the correct user in the list. Click Add.

00:00:33 The editor has been added. When they sign in, they will have access to the pages in the section. The section layout is based on the Section Configuration selected by the site director during set up.
