Keep your recordings safe with our secure backup!

Backup creates a copy of your video file and stores it online or in the ‘cloud.’ Restore is the process of recovering the copy of your video file onto a device.

Screen recordings and imported video files can consume large amounts of storage and become difficult to manage over time.  You may invest a significant amount of time and resources when creating a tutorial, demo, or course.  Losing these video assets can be extremely costly.

Fortunately, with our Backup and Restore feature, your content is saved online so you won’t have to worry about losing your videos again!  At the same time, you’ll save valuable computer hard disk space.

There are two ways to backup your content online. 

First, head to your Content Manager for a list of your recordings and videos.

To back up an individual recording, click on the video.  You’ll notice ‘Backup’ on the upper right-hand corner.  Click ‘Add Backup’ to store it online.

To backup multiple recordings, head back to the list of your recordings in the Content Manager.  Click on ‘Manage Recordings’ and check off the recordings or videos you would like to backup.  Then click ‘Add’ to store it online.

It’s just as easy to restore backed up recordings to your local computer. To get detailed instructions, please watch our ‘Backup and Restore Recordings‘ tutorial. 

You can access your backup recordings and choose what you want to restore on your computer. You can restore and continue editing your recording right where you left off. We retain the recordings meta data so the screen recording you created last year appears where you would expect when sorting on date.

Your Premier plan also allows you to access the recordings on different computers   This means you can start your recording on your work computer and finish the video at home by restoring it on your home computer.

Your recordings are kept in a highly secure and private online vault for you and they won’t be shared with anybody else.

When you back up recordings, we will be encrypt those recordings with AES-256 encryption.
